Dinner for two?

When was the last time you took your partner out for dinner?
Was it your anniversary? Valentines day?
How about the last time just because you felt like it?

Taking your partner out to dinner may seem like the sort of thing you only do for a special occasion but it doesn't have to be that way.

As a young person, I can't afford to take my loved one out to an expensive restaurant, but I don't have to. A small, quiet place is all you need for a romantic time. It doesn't need to be anything fancy if you're strapped for cash, as it's the thought that is going to count to your partner.

If, however, you take your partner out to the same place once a week, you could try and spice things up by taking them somewhere new. Take them to a new town or even your nearby city for dinner. The change may be more appreciative than you thought!

A dinner can also be a stress reliever. If it tends to be one of you making the dinner day in day out, it can be a nice break from cooking and washing up.

Doing something as a surprise for your loved one really goes a long way. Especially when it's something thoughtful and romantic like a dinner out.

Do you have any special places where you like to go? What do you normally eat when it's the two of you? Leave a comment below describing your experiences on taking your partner out for dinner!

Little messages to make them smile

Have you ever received a special little message by text that has made you smile?
That's the idea based around this post. To see somebody smile at something you've done or left for them is one of the best things that you can experience.
I've always found that sending a text at random intervals has the best effect. For example, if you know that your partner has left their phone upstairs for dinner, before you sit down, send a short, sweet message telling them how beautiful they are or even just how much you love them. Then you leave your phone downstairs and wait until they notice the message. It always brings out a smile.

I always find that when I'm leaving, my partners' phone is left upstairs. So a quick little message whilst I'm getting into my car, saying that I love her, always gets a lovely response.

You could even leave a message in their phone, in the notes section, for them to stumble upon!

But it doesn't have to stop with leaving little messages in text form, if you're going out to work, go over to your printer, grab some paper and leave a little note for your love to wake up to. Even something as simple as a post-stick note to the front of the fridge will bring out a smile.

If you're trying to be really romantic, run a hot bubble bath and when the steam has hit the mirror or windows, write a message for your partner to find when they come and join you.

Obviously, there are many other little ways that you can leave messages for your partner to find, but I hope that these little ideas have got you thinking of more to try out around the house. If you have any more, feel free to post them in the comment section as I'm sure others will like your ideas too.

A day In bed.

As someone who rarely gets to spend a night with their loved one, usually down to incredibly early working times, to spend a day in bed sounds like a great first idea. To make it special, if you don't already, or your partner frequently does it for you, go down and get a lovely breakfast for them, put it onto a tray and bring the lot up for a breakfast in bed for your partner. That way, if your loved one is prone to rushing about in the morning, they won't have any reason to leave the warmth of your bed. Of course, if your other half is female, you run the danger of her leaving you in bed to look nice for you. If this is the case, you must tell her that she looks beautiful without makeup on or just stick the makeup that you know she uses onto the tray after breakfast and make sure to bring a mirror over too.
So then, what do you do with a day in bed? Naturally, the first thought that had occurred to me was to watch day time television or to watch a movie. Whilst this is doing something in bed together, it's not the most romantic thing to do, television and movies can be something for later in the day. Instead, it's always a nice idea to just talk. It is said that the majority of relationships fail because of the lack of talking between a couple. It doesn't have to be of anything in particular, but your other half will feel like you have done alot more if you talk than watched the box sat on your cupboard. It's often nice, throughout the morning to tell your partner how much you love them, and if your other half isnt wearing any makeup, to tell them how beautiful they look. It gives them the self confidence that they get when they put on the makeup in the morning.
Now, as this is the first blog post, and there isn't anyone currently reading this blog, it would be a rather hopeful idea to ask to hear about what you do when youve got a day on bed together, but maybe if your looking back for ideas in the future, you might decode tk leave a comment and I would be happy to hear the sort of romantic things you do with a day in bed with your loved one.
